What is Plastic Free July?

Plastic Free July is a global movement that encourages individuals to reduce their plastic consumption and make sustainable choices. By opting for eco-friendly alternatives, you can actively contribute to a cleaner environment!


How can you Participate in Plastic Free July?

How can you participate in Plastic Free July?

First, start with a plastic audit. Assess your plastic consumption by identifying areas where you need to make major changes. We know, this is a daunting task... But, we believe in you and know you can do it!

Next, starting swapping out single-use plastics for more environmentally friendly products. Replace common plastic items such as disposable water bottles, bags, straws, and saran wrap with sustainable alternatives like reusable bottles, cloth bags, metal straws, and Beeswax Wraps!

Introduce more eco-conscious alternatives such as Swedish Dishcloths and Concentrated Cleaning Tablets, which reduce the need for disposable plastics.

Last but not least, spread awareness!


Activities that are Good for You and the Environment!

Guess what? There are more ways you can participate in Plastic Free July. Here’s 5 activities you can do that are not only good for you, but the environment too!

  1. Community Cleanups: Participate in local clean-up events, such as beach cleanups or park restorations!

  2. Upcycling Projects: Feel inspired to repurpose plastic items creatively, for example, turning plastic bottles into planters!

  3. Sustainable Meal Planning: Enjoy cooking at home more to reduce reliance on single-use packaging from takeout or processed foods!

  4. Sustainable Fashion: Take part in a clothing swap or shop at second-hand stores!

  5. DIY Natural Products: Create your own natural cleaning products, personal care items, or cosmetics using simple ingredients and reusable containers!
