The Noval Corona Virus has now spread across the globe. It is greatly impacting communities and reshaping the way that society functions. In an effort to flatten the curve businesses have had to close their doors and stop operations which means that people all across the world have lost their jobs. We send our condolences and thoughts to those whose lives have been impacted by the virus. We also send our thanks and appreciation for those who are on the front line of this pandemic. Your hard work and dedication to protecting and supporting our community through this time does not go unnoticed.
It will not be a surprise to our community that COVID has made its mark on us too. As Nature Bee adapts to these new and quickly changing circumstances, we feel grateful for the opportunity to evaluate what is most important to us.
In these times we are reminded of the very reason Nature Bee was created. To inspire a community of like minded individuals to make positive social changes in their daily lives. We want to make it easier for our community to choose an environmentally friendly product over something like single use plastic. By creating Nature Bee Beeswax Wraps we are preventing an average of 900 to 3,600 pieces of plastic from entering our landfills and oceans per customer, per year, and keeping food fresher for longer which prevents food waste. A small change to someones daily life but a large and meaningful impact.
Standing Together | Nature Bee and The Mustard Seed
We have spent a great deal of time thinking about how we can continue to make a meaningful impact in light of recent events. Our goal has always been to inspire others and support our community. Everyone is feeling the impacts of the virus but some people are feeling it more than others. Those in our community who face disproportionate socio-economic adversities are unfortunately exposed to the highest risk of health and financial impacts. That is why last week we decided to donate 15% of all our Family Mystery Packs and Starter Mystery Packs sales to The Mustard Seed. To date, your support to us and The Mustard Seed has brought us over halfway to our donation goal of $500.

I am sure we are all feeling extra grateful for the fulfilling nutrients of fresh produce. As we all do our best to stay at home and make fewer trips into the community, increasing the life of our fruits, veggies and more has been a huge help for us. Like many small businesses are experiencing, the impacts of COVID have created real anxiety and unrest. What we have been absolutely overwhelmed by and grateful for in spite of these worries, is the support of our community. Folks have been reaching out to us with well wishes, telling their friends and family about Nature Bee, and supporting us by purchasing wraps from our store. These acts of support and kindness do not go unappreciated by the team and we are reminded of how lucky we are to have the support of such a kind community.
