Mama Margy's Focaccia Bread

Take the time this weekend to make this crazy delicious bread. Trust me, this one you will want to add to your cookbook. Guaranteed to be a family favourite.

WHat you'll need

  • 2 cup of warm water

  • 2 tsp yeast

  • 2 tsp honey

  • 4 cups flour

  • Olive Oil

  • 2 tsp salt

  • Any toppings you'd like! (salt, parmesan, rosemary, tomatoes, etc.)

Instructions

1. Place warm water, yeast and honey in a bowl and let activate for about 10 minutes

2. Mix flour and salt into water, yeast and honey and stir well. Dough will become sticky. If you want, you can knead the dough, but it is not necessary



3. Lightly coat dough in olive oil

4. Cover and let sit in a warm place for at least 1 hour and until the dough has doubled in size

5. Gently deflate dough and put into a well oiled 9 x 9 pan

6. Spread the dough out until even

7. Create dimples in the dough with your fingers and top with your favorite toppings! (salt, parmesan, rosemary, tomatoes, etc.)

8. Let rise for an hour or so until at least doubled

9. Bake at 425 degrees for 25 minutes
