What Are Cellulose Sponges?
Cellulose sponges are natural cleaning sponges made from compressed plant cellulose, a natural material derived from wood pulp. They start compressed and flat, then expand into a soft, effective cleaning sponge when wet. They have a very similar texture to conventional kitchen sponges made from plastic foam, but cellulose sponges are biodegradable and compostable at the end of their life.
How Do I Use and Care for My Cellulose Sponge?

As fate would have it, my dishwasher broke just a couple weeks after ordering these so in hand washing dishes for a family of 5 for over 3 weeks now I can certainly say that I have put these sponges to the test.
They seem large at first, but I found the bigger size to be more ergonimical, and I have come to prefer it.
Because of the heavy use, my sponge did on occasion become stinky which was a reminder to rinse with cool water and squeeze excess out for optimal drying overnight, just as any other sponge requires.
I love that I'm supporting a woman-owned Canadian business in buying these, I love that they're biodegradable, and my kids and I are absolutely smitten with the colorful fruit designs and the wow effect of seeing them expand.

I really love these sponges - they last exceptionally well! But when they are end of life, I love they are compostable! I do wish they were a bit stronger for scrubbing. But either way they do the trick.
These are great little sponges! After I got my 1st order I ordered 10 more immediately as they sell out so quickly . I highly recommend them. Once they are wet they puff right up - and are great for any cleanup. The fruit designs are so cute also. Very reasonably priced a - Buy them - you won't regret it!
I was initially disappointed when I got the sponge. I thought it was so thin, it’s not different from the towels. Then it hit the water and became an actual sponge! And as a sponge, it had the perfect texture for scrubbing plates and cutlery. I highly recommend it, to everyone 😊
