WHAT’S THE BUZZ WITH COMPANY SWAG?
One of the best parts of going to conferences, fairs and exhibitions is all the fun swag you can pick up. It feels like Christmas morning when you walk out with arms full of pens, stress balls, and magnets… but how often do they end up in the back of a junk drawer - or worse, in the trash - after a couple of weeks?
Branded freebies are a powerful marketing tool for companies but often amount to needless waste. We’ve gathered some ideas for high-impact company swag that is planet-friendly, too!
Ahh… an old classic. Everyone loves getting a new water bottle or travel mug, and they’re a great way to show off a company logo. Using them also helps combat the use of single-use water bottles and coffee cups. In Canada, we consume two billion water bottles per year and 2.6 million coffee cups per week, so switching to a reusable option makes a huge impact.
Sets of reusable straws and cutlery are a huge trend as consumers become more environmentally conscious. They usually come in a canvas bag which is a brilliant place to put your company’s logo; people carry these around in their bags every day so they’ll take a look at your beautiful logo every time they take it out!
This is one of our favourite ideas. Who doesn’t love flowers? You’ll be the talk of the conference if you have plants (think succulents or small flowered plants) to give away. Slap your logo in a card holder or on the pot and people will be reminded of you each time they look at it sitting on their desk. Wildflower seeds are a fabulous option too - just make sure they’re native wildflowers so you aren’t accidentally introducing invasive species!
